Bean plant observation – Hurray for science

We are growing not one, not 2 but 3 bean plants! It has been quite the excitement at our house, with Little J carefully measuring it every morning and reciting to me all he knows about plants every chance he gets.

I looked all over for a printable observation journal but couldn’t find one like I had imagined, so I made my own (feel free to save and print if you are also thinking about growing a bean plant ๐Ÿ™‚ Just don’t laugh at my free hand bean).

Check out that focus, making sure it looks exactly like it ๐Ÿ™‚ If I was to redo this I would add some space for measurement.

Little Miss E has been keeping busy with gluing. she loves anything sticky ๐Ÿ™‚

Super easy to make fish activity for her. I cut fish out of construction paper, drew a sea environment on white paper and drew the fish the same color as the ones I had previously cut. She loved matching them.

I also made a printable for Little J to label. He loved it but got done so fast that he decided to color it (he never ever colors). You are welcome to it also ๐Ÿ™‚

In other news our Little Miss E is growing up too fast! She went from never having used the potty to potty trained in about a week.ย Such a big girl!

  1. She is such a big girl. I love the bean project! Does it help teach patience? Judah needs help in that department. lol

    • lol sorta?? i dont know if i would have tried any earlier with him, but Emily loves it too so I guess it depends on the child ๐Ÿ™‚ they take a day or 2 to start growing but it isnt a fast growth lol
