Crochet Stuffed toy solution

Little Miss E is obsessed with stuffed toys. No matter how quietly I try to sneak them out of her room she always catches on. As a result her room was a stuffed toy mess. Bears, ponies, dogs… everywhere…

I remember having a net to hold my stuffed toys when I was a child so I decided to recreate it for her.

I will try to explain how as well as I can.

I used a size K crochet hook and Red heart yarn.

I made mine with a double strand to make it more durable.

Chain 8 and join with a slip stitch. This will be one of your ‘handles’. Chain 80 (or however many you need for the size you have in mind.) This will be one of the sides. Chain 8 more and join 8 stitches back with a slip stitch. Another ‘handle’. So now you should have a handle on each side and a long chain in between. Now you are ready to work back.

Chain 4, skip 2 of your long chain and double crochet on the next.

Chain 2, skip 2 of the main chain and double crochet on the third. All the way to your ‘handle’ and turn.

Slip stitch on your first big space, chain 4 and double crochet in the next big space.

Chain 2 and double crochet in the next. Repeat until the end of the row. Turn.

Slip stitch in the first big space, chain 4, double crochet in the next. Chain 2 and double crochet in the next big space. Repeat until the end of the row. Turn. You will repeat this until you have a triangle.

Turn and slip stitch in the last space.

(My little model. Yours should look like this but much bigger)

Chain 8 and slip stitch on the first to make your last little ‘handle’.

Hang up in a corner and enjoy 🙂

I hung them up low enough for her to enjoy them. They were a hit 🙂 And no more stuffed toys everywhere.
